{Ashley & Richard} A great day for a wedding in Manotick

A few years back, we had the pleasure of meeting Ashley and Richard at another wedding we photographed, as Ashley was a bridesmaid...that was a great event in our books, and we were so happy when she contacted us to begin chatting about her upcoming wedding to Richard late last year.  When we then met up with her at a local wedding show, it felt like we were already old friends and I was taken by her Tory Burch bag (Brian, as is usual, didn't notice such a detail!).  She explained to us both that she loves good quality, and this led to a great discussion regarding her choices for wedding vendors and details. On what felt like the hottest day of 2014, Ashley and Richard said their loving vows in the cozy Knox Presbyterian Church in picturesque Manotick.  The parish holds a lot of family history, as Ashley's parents said their vows in the very same spot, and the Reverend made sure to weave some beautiful history into their present day ceremony.  From an adorable 4 legged ring bearer, to Richard's father's antique truck, these two made sure to include so many important family details into their ceremony, and it made for such a wonderful day. Their dinner and reception was held at the RA Centre, and the staff did an incredible job of making their vision come true--the room was gorgeous, and the details were fantastic!  The entertainment was provided by the AMAZING Dwight Grant, probably better known around theses parts as Mellow Dee, and nobody was disappointed!  He kept the mic hoppin' and the music poppin'!  We learned earlier that day that the Shriner's Circus was being held in the Centre parking lot, which could have put a damper on their wedding.  Not these two!!!  They made the best out of the situation, and we were OVER THE MOON when they agreed to spend a bit of time with the elephants (and Sponge Bob!). A big thank you to Ashley and Richard for being awesome clients, and letting loose on their big day...we had a great time and we hope you enjoy their images!
