{Kacey & Jordan} An engagement on Parliament Hill Ottawa

It was a bit of a blast from the past when Kacey’s mother Susan e-mailed us to say there was another wedding in the family! Back in 2008 we photographed her sister’s wedding, and we thrilled to hear Kacey’s news, and that we had the opportunity to capture her wedding! Their family was absolutely amazing, and we’re honoured to be part of their lives! Read more

{Kamin & Jon} A mix of wedding traditions at Stanley’s Maple Lane Farm

Ivanette and I had the opportunity to meet with Kamin & Jon when they made a trip to Ottawa to plan their wedding, we loved how relaxed they were, and were excited when they asked us to be their wedding photographers! Kamin & Jon, along with their families did an absolutely amazing job of combining both of their cultures and traditions into one great day! Read more

{Melanie & Adam} An engagement session where everything started!

We first had the chance to meet with Melanie & Adam at the studio in January, and are very excited to photograph their wedding! Look out for dirt bikes! While getting to know them, we learnt that they first met when Melanie worked delivering parts to local garages, and met this young, friendly mechanic named Adam. Eventually she started working at the garage, and well, the rest is history! What a more fitting place for their engagement session than the family garage where they met! Read more

{Melissa & Garth} An “end of the world” wedding at Montebello!

As I'm sure you all know, Dec 21st 2012 was supposed to be the end of the world as some people interpreted the Mayan Calendar. Well, it was quite a fitting day to celebrate Melissa & Garth's love for each other. Twenty three years ago, the two were high school sweethearts, so on the end of the world, or as it was more commonly referred to at their wedding, the beginning of a new age, Melissa & Garth were married in a wonderful ceremony at Chateau Montebello. Melissa filled the wedding full of unique touches, such as a circular aisle, so that they could walk past each and every guest, the custom hand made glass ornaments that formed a centrepiece, and then became favours for the guests. There was no seating plan, because as Melissa and Garth stated, "We are all family, so there's no seating plan". Guests were able to sit where they wished, mingle with who they wanted, and meet new friends at their leisure. The atmosphere was relaxed, well, until the dancing started! Read more

{Josée & David } A winter wedding at Cumberland Heritage Museum

A few weeks back on a snowy November day, I had the pleasure of photographing Josée and David's gorgeous and intimate wedding at the Cumberland Heritage Museum. This was the first time I had the opportunity to meet them, as we had taken care of the details by phone and e-mail leading up to their special day. They are wonderful, caring, and just so relaxed! Their personalities showed in the details of their day, they had a grand total of 11 guests, and were very relaxed about their whole day! Enjoy the preview! Read more

{Pamela & Sherman} A family wedding

Ivanette met Pamela and Sherman at the Ottawa wedding show this January. As luck would have it, as they were passing by, an image from Stephanie & Frederic's wedding we photographed last fall popped onto the screen. Turns out they were also planning their wedding at the NDHQ WO’S & Sgts’ Mess Hall here in Ottawa. It's an absolutely gorgeous hall, and the food is to die for! After chatting with with Ivanette, and going through some of our work, they decided that having a professional photographer might be something they wanted after all. We met with them a few weeks later, and have been looking forward to their wedding! They are full of emotion and are absolutely hilarious! As favours, Pamela & Sherman personally handed out support our troops pins to each guest. Their focus was on family, so we set up a photobooth and Ivanette took gorgeous portraits of all their guests while I was outside capturing their formal photos. It was a great day! Read more

{Chelsea & Scott} An engagement in Calabogie

I first met Chelsea when I photographed her brother Matt's wedding in the fall of 2009. Their family was amazing, and both of them are so outgoing, I know I'm going to have a blast at Chelsea & Scott's wedding this coming summer! Chelsea and Scott chose his family's hunt camp up near Calabogie for their session since that's where he proposed. We had a great day with lots of sun back in October! Read more

{Rachel & Chris} An Almonte engagement

Some of you may recognize Rachel, however the last time you would have seen her she was on the other side of the lens. Rachel has been working with me since August as my assistant and second photographer, so when Chris proposed, I was thrilled when she asked if Ivanette and I would photograph their wedding. Rachel and Chris are very generous, hard working individuals, and who enjoy the simple things in life. I photographed their engagement session on a cool weekday in October, and have finally been able to edit it! Stay tuned, there are a few more engagement sessions to come! Read more

{Karen & Agostino} A winter wedding at St Patrick’s Basilica & Sala San Marco

Ivanette first met Karen at her first job upon arriving in Ontario from Cape Breton. Over the years they had lost contact, until they saw each other when we photographed Carol-Lynn and Kyle's wedding back in 2009. We were happy to see them at the Ottawa Wedding show (a couple times!), and were thrilled when they decided to hire us as their wedding photographers! We had great weather, and it was pretty warm for mid November. Read more

{Christine & Evan} A sexy sunset engagement session

Ivanette and I have known Christine and Evan for a couple years now. Evan used to work with my younger brother, and over the years we've gotten to know Christine and Evan. We were excited for them when Evan finally proposed, and even more excited to be photographing their wedding next year in Carleton Place. We spent a Sunday afternoon at Evan's cottage capturing their engagement session surrounded by the fall leaves. Evan was thrilled when I suggested we incorporate his prized Mustang into their session!   Read more

{Melissa & Keith} An Ottawa Valley wedding in Renfrew

I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa & Keith's wedding this October in Renfrew. It was a little cold (6 degrees) and very windy, but nobody complained, we had sunshine! There's something about small town churches that's just amazing, the light, the intimacy, it's like they have a personality of their own. St. Michael's Catholic church in Douglas is no exception, being just around the corner from Melissa's family farm. Their wedding was such a pleasure to photograph as both families are very relaxed, kind and generous. Read more

{Kelly & Kevin} A country wedding at the Mill of Kintail and Almonte Agricultural Hall

It truly was an honor to photograph Kelly and Kevin's wedding this September. Some may recognize Kelly from their experiences at Sinders Bridal in Carleton Place, which is where Kelly first heard of us, and throughout the years, decided that we were going to be her wedding photographer. Kelly and Kevin had a lovely intimate ceremony at the Mill of Kintail, followed by a simple yet fun reception at the Almonte Agricultural Hall. Read more
