{Ashley & Richard} A great day for a wedding in Manotick

A few years back, we had the pleasure of meeting Ashley and Richard at another wedding we photographed, as Ashley was a bridesmaid...that was a great event in our books, and we were so happy when she contacted us to begin chatting about her upcoming wedding to Richard late last year.  When we then met up with her at a local wedding show, it felt like we were already old friends and I was taken by her Tory Burch bag (Brian, as is usual, didn't notice such a detail!).  She explained to us both that she loves good quality, and this led to a great discussion regarding her choices for wedding vendors and details. In this business, we've been incredibly lucky to meet some of the most amazing couples--each is unique in their own right and make our role as photographers easier by bringing their own brand of awesome to the table.  Krista and Rob are no exception;  they are an absolute delight to spend time with, and that in turn helps to create some pretty images.'] Continue Reading..

{Kacey & Jordan} A beautiful wedding at Loch March, Ottawa Golf Course

{Kacey & Jordan} A beautiful wedding at Loch March, Ottawa Golf Course

Ivanette and I were thrilled when Susan, Kacey's mom gave us a call to say another one of her daughters was getting married! We photographed Jennifer's wedding back in 2009. Their family is absolutely amazing, and an absolute pleasure to spend a day with on a nice sunny Golf Course in Ottawa's west end! The lucky groom Jordan was absolutely full of energy, and kept the party going at Loch March Golf club all night long! We knew they'd be a fun and interesting couple after capturing their engagement session last summer on Parliament Hill. Parliament in red was fitting, as Jordan had just started working for Mr. Trudeau. They are a passionate, fun couple, and we wish them the best in the many years to come! Continue Reading..

{Josée & David } A winter wedding at Cumberland Heritage Museum

A few weeks back on a snowy November day, I had the pleasure of photographing Josée and David's gorgeous and intimate wedding at the Cumberland Heritage Museum. This was the first time I had the opportunity to meet them, as we had taken care of the details by phone and e-mail leading up to their special day. They are wonderful, caring, and just so relaxed! Their personalities showed in the details of their day, they had a grand total of 11 guests, and were very relaxed about their whole day! Enjoy the preview! Continue Reading..
{Rachel & Chris} An Almonte engagement

{Rachel & Chris} An Almonte engagement

Some of you may recognize Rachel, however the last time you would have seen her she was on the other side of the lens. Rachel has been working with me since August as my assistant and second photographer, so when Chris proposed, I was thrilled when she asked if Ivanette and I would photograph their wedding. Rachel and Chris are very generous, hard working individuals, and who enjoy the simple things in life. I photographed their engagement session on a cool weekday in October, and have finally been able to edit it! Stay tuned, there are a few more engagement sessions to come! Continue Reading..
{Melissa & Keith} An Ottawa Valley wedding in Renfrew

{Melissa & Keith} An Ottawa Valley wedding in Renfrew

I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa & Keith's wedding this October in Renfrew. It was a little cold (6 degrees) and very windy, but nobody complained, we had sunshine! There's something about small town churches that's just amazing, the light, the intimacy, it's like they have a personality of their own. St. Michael's Catholic church in Douglas is no exception, being just around the corner from Melissa's family farm. Their wedding was such a pleasure to photograph as both families are very relaxed, kind and generous. Continue Reading..
