{Sandra & Mark} A destination wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica

It was a little less than a year ago when we connected with Sandra in Alberta about her upcoming destination wedding in Jamaica. Early on Sandra and Mark realized that if they wanted quality photography for their wedding, it was best to bring a photographer (or two) along with them. Ivanette and I have been looking forward to this great opportunity ever since then. Sandra and Mark are a wonderful couple and we thoroughly enjoyed spending a week with both of their amazing families. Read more

{Christine & Benton} A winter engagement near Barry’s Bay

We first met Christine at Arnprior's first wedding show a few months ago. We immediately seemed to get along very well and after the 3 of us chatted for over half an hour, she went home to discuss things with Benton. A few days later we received a very nice e-mail requesting to meet up. Christine and Benton made the drive to Almonte from Barry's Bay a few days later and we set a date to capture their engagement photos. We had a great time despite the foot of snow that was on the ground at the park near Combermere (just outside of Barry's Bay). As we were wrapping up the session, Benton mentioned that as a child, he had helped his grandfather build a monument a few kilometers away to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 1944 Warsaw uprising in Poland. It is designed to commemorate a church that was destroyed during the Nazi invasion. We thought it would be a fitting tribute to their culture, family, and heritage, and the perfect way to end their engagement session. Read more

{Debra & Rob} Calabogie Peaks Fall Wedding

We were really looking forward to photographing Debra and Rob's wedding at Calabogie Peaks Resort on October 9th--you may remember their awesome sport bike engagement session, which only made us even more excited about their wedding! This day was ALL about family--Debra's wonderful father, who gave her away for their first look session and during the ceremony, Rob's sons Christopher and Alex (who made everyone cry during his speech and the first dance), and their wonderful brothers and sisters. The weather was spectacular that day, and the staff at the resort were so amazing--it totally made our day that we were able to take a trip up the mountain on the ski lift! Read more
