{Krista & Rob} An engagement session at the cottage retreat

In this business, we've been incredibly lucky to meet some of the most amazing couples--each is unique in their own right and make our role as photographers easier by bringing their own brand of awesome to the table.  Krista and Rob are no exception;  they are an absolute delight to spend time with, and that in turn helps to create some pretty images.'] Read more

{Kacey & Jordan} An engagement on Parliament Hill Ottawa

It was a bit of a blast from the past when Kacey’s mother Susan e-mailed us to say there was another wedding in the family! Back in 2008 we photographed her sister’s wedding, and we thrilled to hear Kacey’s news, and that we had the opportunity to capture her wedding! Their family was absolutely amazing, and we’re honoured to be part of their lives! Read more

{Melanie & Adam} An engagement session where everything started!

We first had the chance to meet with Melanie & Adam at the studio in January, and are very excited to photograph their wedding! Look out for dirt bikes! While getting to know them, we learnt that they first met when Melanie worked delivering parts to local garages, and met this young, friendly mechanic named Adam. Eventually she started working at the garage, and well, the rest is history! What a more fitting place for their engagement session than the family garage where they met! Read more

{Roberta & Jeff} A rainy engagement session

We scheduled a nice, relaxing engagement session with Roberta & Jeff in preparation of their wedding next May. There was rain in the forecast, but only 30% chance of showers starting at 10pm, no need to reschedule. Well, turns out the weather forecast wasn't 100% accurate and we got caught in a downpour! Roberta & Jeff were amazing however and we made the best of it! If it rains during the engagement session, does that mean it won't rain on their wedding day? Read more

{Chelsea & Scott} An engagement in Calabogie

I first met Chelsea when I photographed her brother Matt's wedding in the fall of 2009. Their family was amazing, and both of them are so outgoing, I know I'm going to have a blast at Chelsea & Scott's wedding this coming summer! Chelsea and Scott chose his family's hunt camp up near Calabogie for their session since that's where he proposed. We had a great day with lots of sun back in October! Read more

{Rachel & Chris} An Almonte engagement

Some of you may recognize Rachel, however the last time you would have seen her she was on the other side of the lens. Rachel has been working with me since August as my assistant and second photographer, so when Chris proposed, I was thrilled when she asked if Ivanette and I would photograph their wedding. Rachel and Chris are very generous, hard working individuals, and who enjoy the simple things in life. I photographed their engagement session on a cool weekday in October, and have finally been able to edit it! Stay tuned, there are a few more engagement sessions to come! Read more

{Christine & Evan} A sexy sunset engagement session

Ivanette and I have known Christine and Evan for a couple years now. Evan used to work with my younger brother, and over the years we've gotten to know Christine and Evan. We were excited for them when Evan finally proposed, and even more excited to be photographing their wedding next year in Carleton Place. We spent a Sunday afternoon at Evan's cottage capturing their engagement session surrounded by the fall leaves. Evan was thrilled when I suggested we incorporate his prized Mustang into their session!   Read more

{Jennifer & Matt} A country engagement near Pakenham

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that this past Sunday Ivanette and I had two engagement sessions. Both couples are Jennifer & Matt, and both have their wedding in October of this year. I'm not sure what the odds of that are! For our first session of the day, we had the pleasure of capturing Jennifer & Matt at the farm she manages. Jennifer is a 7th generation farmer. Even with the heat, we had a nice relaxing afternoon in the fields. We finished their session off by cooling off in the water beneath the historic Pakenham 5 span bridge. Read more

{Carolyn & Justin} Engagement session on the water near Kingston Ontario

This past Sunday Ivanette and I had one of the most relaxing engagement sessions. A few months ago, we had the pleasure of meeting with Carolyn and her parents at the studio to discuss their photography needs. We learnt the story about how Carolyn first met Justin. Justin works at a Marina that services a small lake just north of Kingston, where Carolyn's family would spend the summer at their cottage. Over the years, Carolyn would routinely take the boat down to the marina to fill it up with gas. With a little encouragement from their families, and a few years later, Carolyn and Justin started dating, the rest is just history. We thought that the most fitting place for their engagement photos would be the marina where everything started. Read more

{Nick & Jingjing} Engagement session in Pembroke

I've been looking forward to Nick & Jingjing's engagement session since they mentioned bringing their fencing equipment! Jinjing suggested the marina in Pembroke, which had the old abandoned rail bridge nearby. The group of teenagers fishing off of the bridge was a little surprised when we came up with fencing gear, but they didn't seem to mind! Read more

{Alaina & Jim} Engagement photos at Willowstone

When Alaina and Jim first met with us, they were considering Willowstone for their wedding, however after reviewing the size of their guest list, their wedding will now be at Strathmere. Alaina really loved how gorgeous Willowstone is, so we suggested it for their engagement photos. Victoria was absolutely gracious and very welcoming! I can only imagine how amazing a nice, small, intimate wedding would be at Willowstone! Read more
