{Victoria & Tyler} A gorgeous waterfront wedding in Kingston, Ontario
/in Blog, Wedding /by bhargreavesAs photographers, we love having different opportunities and challenges. Victoria & Tyler were married in the gorgeous Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, overlooking Kingston's waterfront. Historically we've had great opportunities capturing weddings and engagement sessions in Downtown Kingston, the Olympic Harbour is east of Kingston, past Queens University. Ivy and I took the opportunity to scout locations, and just a short 5 minute drive from the harbour, we found a great abandoned building to serve as the backdrop for their wedding portraits, along with the waterfront trail nearby! Victoria & Tyler are also very adventurous, and were up for creating these images that we absolutely love!

{Carolyn & Justin} Engagement session on the water near Kingston Ontario
/in Blog, Engagement, Kingston Wedding Photographer, Ottawa wedding photographer, Toronto Wedding Photographer, Wedding /by bhargreavesThis past Sunday Ivanette and I had one of the most relaxing engagement sessions. A few months ago, we had the pleasure of meeting with Carolyn and her parents at the studio to discuss their photography needs. We learnt the story about how Carolyn first met Justin. Justin works at a Marina that services a small lake just north of Kingston, where Carolyn's family would spend the summer at their cottage. Over the years, Carolyn would routinely take the boat down to the marina to fill it up with gas. With a little encouragement from their families, and a few years later, Carolyn and Justin started dating, the rest is just history. We thought that the most fitting place for their engagement photos would be the marina where everything started.

{Heather & Tom} The Engagement
/2 Comments/in Blog, Wedding /by bhargreavesWe first had the opportunity to meet Heather a few months ago at a Starbucks in Ottawa for an initial consultation. She had had a long day interviewing vendors for their wedding, but despite us being the one of the last meetings of the day, that "connection" we all hope for with clients was evident from the get-go. She told us about her chance first meeting with her fiance Tom, and even while regaling us with the hilarious details, her genuine love and adoration for him shone through.

{NGHA Hockey} – Ottawa Photographer
/in Blog, Sports /by bhargreavesThis weekend I've been out working with my father of Hargreaves Photography at the 30th Annual Nepean Girls Hockey Tournament here in Ottawa. It's been a busy 3 days, starting from the first game at 8am until the last game finishes at 10pm! Who ever said us photographers had it easy! The games have been very well played, with close 1 goal games for the most part. If you missed us, check out my father's website for updates on where we will be next and to check out more photos

TFB – Questions to ask when interviewing a photographer
/in Blog, Tips for Brides & Grooms /by bhargreavesTips for Brides
Finding the right photographer for your wedding is one of the most important decisions you will have to make--you will have to spend the entire day with the person you hire, so you should like them and get to know their personality before the big day. We recognize that we are not the perfect photographer for every couple, but we want everybody to have great memories and fabulous photos.
Here are a few questions you should ask your photographer:
