{Erin & Chris} A wedding at St. Peter’s in Pakenham

You can't help but notice Erin's outgoing, bubbly personality! Erin and Chris were a pleasure to work with. We had previously had a blast photographing their engagement session, and had been looking forward to their wedding this past Saturday. Erin and Chris chose St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Pakenham, which is one of the 7 wonders of Lanark County. In the morning, we learnt that Erin's Grandfather had a hand in helping build the 5 span bridge in Pakenham (yet another of the 7 wonders of Lanark County), so a quick stop for some photos, then it was off to Burnstown for some photos on the farm. We had a blast at the reception with the smoked beef and chicken. A big thanks to Erin, Chris and both their parents for their wonderful hospitality! Read more

{Jennifer & Matt} A country engagement near Pakenham

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that this past Sunday Ivanette and I had two engagement sessions. Both couples are Jennifer & Matt, and both have their wedding in October of this year. I'm not sure what the odds of that are! For our first session of the day, we had the pleasure of capturing Jennifer & Matt at the farm she manages. Jennifer is a 7th generation farmer. Even with the heat, we had a nice relaxing afternoon in the fields. We finished their session off by cooling off in the water beneath the historic Pakenham 5 span bridge. Read more

{Tammy} Ottawa Wedding Photographer – Trash the Dress!

Rarely does a photographer find a bride who is so in tune with a concept for a photo shoot that she actually says "I could..." and volunteer to do something amazing for a shot before I get the chance to ask. Tammy and Jay were married last December in Cuba, and got in contact with us a few months ago regarding a Trash the Dress session. They live in a picturesque little village on the outskirts of Ottawa, and they have an incredible view of the water right from their house! Read more

{Jennifer & Bobby} Ottawa Wedding Photographer – Engagement Photos – Mill of Kintail & Pakenham

Jennifer and her mother Susan first saw us at the Carp Fair last fall, and fell in love with our work.  Jennifer wasn't even engaged yet! So when Bobby surprised her this winter with a gorgeous diamond ring, she looked us up and chose us as their wedding photographer. Hockey is a huge part of their lives and they have planned a fabulous hockey themed wedding this August that Ivanette and I will have the pleasure of photographing for them. We got together today for a great engagement photo session in Pakenham and Almonte (30 minutes west of Ottawa) and simply had loads of fun with them! We have great plans to incorporate these photos into their wedding, but that's a bit of a surprise in the making. Read more

{Baby Emily} Ottawa Infant Photographer

Earlier this week Danielle and Mike came by with their newborn infant Emily for her first official photos. Danielle used to work with Ivanette, so this was a special treat. Mike has a very busy schedule, so finding the time when he was available was a little tricky, but we made it work! Hope you like them. P.S. Danielle and Mike, you guys are great! Read more
