{Jingjing & Nick} A relaxed wedding at Strathmere

We first met Jingjing and Nick at a wedding show this spring. In getting to know them, we quickly learnt that they are two truly genuine and honest people. Both were brought up with traditional Chinese values, and their wedding showed that. Family was number one for this wedding, and was very apparent throughout the day. Read more

{Su & Leo} Intimate wedding at Code’s Mill in Perth

Ivanette and I had met Su and Leo well over a year ago at a bridal show. We loved how easy going and down to earth they are! Their wedding was held at Code's Mill in Perth, Ontario, and it was the perfect venue for their simple, yet elegant wedding. Read more

{Miss R} Bridal Boudoir

We've had to keep these photos under wraps for a few months now, and are excited to be able to finally share them! Miss R came to our studio a few months ago for a bridal boudoir session. Since her session was a surprise for her (now) husband, we couldn't share them online. Miss R had a great time during her session, and I hope her husband enjoys her images as much as she does! {Karen & Agostino} The Engagement

Ivanette worked with Karen a few years ago at her first job after moving to Ottawa for University. Over the years they had lost contact, but once Karen saw Ivanette at our booth in the Ottawa Wedding show, it was quite the reunion! Karen and Agostino are an amazing couple, full of energy and laughter! We're looking forward to photographing their wedding this November! Read more

{Kristen & Jason} Get Married at the Mayfair Theater, reception at the Glebe Community Center

Ivanette and I had the pleasure of meeting with Kristen & Jason last September and chatted about their very unique wedding. If you're a regular follower of the blog, you'll know that we like to keep things interesting by photographing unique, yet personalized weddings. It's not always about who can get the most lavish venue, the most expensive shoes, or a couture gown. The best weddings are full of emotion, fun, and personal touches. Kristen and Jason decided early on to go for a Carnival theme for their wedding. The ceremony was held at the historic Mayfair Theater in the Glebe, with a reception at the Glebe Community Center. For their formal photos we decided that one of Ottawa's legal graffiti walls would fit perfectly. Read more

{Fanny & Steve} A personalized wedding at Lago (Ottawa)

It's been almost a year since we met Fanny and Steve at our studio, and chatted about their wedding. It seemed like forever until their wedding date arrived this past Saturday. Even though the weather network was threatening thunderstorms right after their ceremony, it turned out to be a great day! We had a blast photographing their wedding at Lago Bar Grill View. {Erin & Chris} A wedding at St. Peter’s in Pakenham

You can't help but notice Erin's outgoing, bubbly personality! Erin and Chris were a pleasure to work with. We had previously had a blast photographing their engagement session, and had been looking forward to their wedding this past Saturday. Erin and Chris chose St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Pakenham, which is one of the 7 wonders of Lanark County. In the morning, we learnt that Erin's Grandfather had a hand in helping build the 5 span bridge in Pakenham (yet another of the 7 wonders of Lanark County), so a quick stop for some photos, then it was off to Burnstown for some photos on the farm. We had a blast at the reception with the smoked beef and chicken. A big thanks to Erin, Chris and both their parents for their wonderful hospitality! Read more

{Baby Ella} is almost 1

Last Friday we had the pleasure of a visit from Jamie and Matt, and their daughter Ella. Ella will turn 1 this September, and Jamie wanted some family photos with all 3 smiling. We actually photographed Jamie and Matt's wedding back in 2009, which you may remember had a "little" bit of a firefighter theme. Of course we had to continue on the tradition! Read more

{Kelly & Derek} Downtown Ottawa wedding, Blessed Sacrament & the National Arts Center

You may remember Kelly & Derek from their engagement session a few months ago at Hogs Back Falls. We had a great time photographing their engagement session, as they are so relaxed, genuine and just plain ol' nice! After photographing their wedding at Blessed Sacrament church in the Glebe, and their reception at the NAC it was apparent that their families were just as witty, relaxed, and nice as they are! {Jennifer & Matt} A country engagement near Pakenham

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that this past Sunday Ivanette and I had two engagement sessions. Both couples are Jennifer & Matt, and both have their wedding in October of this year. I'm not sure what the odds of that are! For our first session of the day, we had the pleasure of capturing Jennifer & Matt at the farm she manages. Jennifer is a 7th generation farmer. Even with the heat, we had a nice relaxing afternoon in the fields. We finished their session off by cooling off in the water beneath the historic Pakenham 5 span bridge. Read more

{Carolyn & Justin} Engagement session on the water near Kingston Ontario

This past Sunday Ivanette and I had one of the most relaxing engagement sessions. A few months ago, we had the pleasure of meeting with Carolyn and her parents at the studio to discuss their photography needs. We learnt the story about how Carolyn first met Justin. Justin works at a Marina that services a small lake just north of Kingston, where Carolyn's family would spend the summer at their cottage. Over the years, Carolyn would routinely take the boat down to the marina to fill it up with gas. With a little encouragement from their families, and a few years later, Carolyn and Justin started dating, the rest is just history. We thought that the most fitting place for their engagement photos would be the marina where everything started. Read more

{Kelly & Kevin} An engagement session in the market

It's been a busy week! Ivanette and I photographed Kelly & Kevin's wedding engagement session downtown in and around the market and National Art Gallery a week ago. We met with them on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon, and were pleasantly surprised to see they brought their dog Luigi! Both Kelly and Kevin are very relaxed and we had a great time! Read more
