{Melanie & Adam} A daring wedding in Smiths Falls

Ivanette and I have been looking forward to Melanie & Adam’s wedding for quite some time now! We love weddings, and really love it when couples are creative, and completely up for something different. Growing up Adam raced motorcross bikes, and in the back of his parent’s property, they set up a dirt track. One thing led to another, and the idea formed that it would be an awesome image if Adam jumped overtop of Melanie on their wedding day. A couple weeks before their wedding we went and did some planning to make sure it would work. The day finally came, and all went well. Adam even launched himself over the whole wedding party! {Chelsea & Scott} An engagement in Calabogie

I first met Chelsea when I photographed her brother Matt's wedding in the fall of 2009. Their family was amazing, and both of them are so outgoing, I know I'm going to have a blast at Chelsea & Scott's wedding this coming summer! Chelsea and Scott chose his family's hunt camp up near Calabogie for their session since that's where he proposed. We had a great day with lots of sun back in October! Read more

{Su & Leo} Intimate wedding at Code’s Mill in Perth

Ivanette and I had met Su and Leo well over a year ago at a bridal show. We loved how easy going and down to earth they are! Their wedding was held at Code's Mill in Perth, Ontario, and it was the perfect venue for their simple, yet elegant wedding. Read more

{Jennifer & Matt} A country engagement near Pakenham

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that this past Sunday Ivanette and I had two engagement sessions. Both couples are Jennifer & Matt, and both have their wedding in October of this year. I'm not sure what the odds of that are! For our first session of the day, we had the pleasure of capturing Jennifer & Matt at the farm she manages. Jennifer is a 7th generation farmer. Even with the heat, we had a nice relaxing afternoon in the fields. We finished their session off by cooling off in the water beneath the historic Pakenham 5 span bridge. Read more

{Nick & Jingjing} Engagement session in Pembroke

I've been looking forward to Nick & Jingjing's engagement session since they mentioned bringing their fencing equipment! Jinjing suggested the marina in Pembroke, which had the old abandoned rail bridge nearby. The group of teenagers fishing off of the bridge was a little surprised when we came up with fencing gear, but they didn't seem to mind! Read more

{Erin & Chris} A country engagement

When we sit down with couples, we like to get to know who they are and what they enjoy. We like to convey the couple's personality, and in this case, their trust in each other! We are looking forward to their wedding this summer. Read more

{Christine & Benton} A winter engagement near Barry’s Bay

We first met Christine at Arnprior's first wedding show a few months ago. We immediately seemed to get along very well and after the 3 of us chatted for over half an hour, she went home to discuss things with Benton. A few days later we received a very nice e-mail requesting to meet up. Christine and Benton made the drive to Almonte from Barry's Bay a few days later and we set a date to capture their engagement photos. We had a great time despite the foot of snow that was on the ground at the park near Combermere (just outside of Barry's Bay). As we were wrapping up the session, Benton mentioned that as a child, he had helped his grandfather build a monument a few kilometers away to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 1944 Warsaw uprising in Poland. It is designed to commemorate a church that was destroyed during the Nazi invasion. We thought it would be a fitting tribute to their culture, family, and heritage, and the perfect way to end their engagement session. Read more

{Stephanie & Jordan} Engagement at Upper Canada Village’s Alight at Night festival

A few months ago Ivanette and I met with Stephanie and Jordan about their wedding this coming February. Stephanie expressed her love of Christmas lights and came up with the great idea of travelling down to Upper Canada Village for their Alight at Night festival. Of course we agreed to such a unique (and challenging) setting for their engagement photos. We had a blast photographing their engagement session despite getting a little cold. Read more

{Kristin & Clyde} The Grey Gables Manor & Germania Club, Pembroke

Kristin and Clyde held Pembroke's wedding of the year last weekend, and it was a treat to be involved and capture the memories of two wonderful families joining together.  As you may remember, we shot their engagement session a while back in some of the coolest spots,  all with significant sentimental value to them for the family history. {Debra & Rob} Engagement session at Calabogie Motorsports Park

Back when we first did the consult for Debra and Rob, Brian and I were thrilled to find out that they both were avid sportbike riders who wanted to incorporate their hobby into their wedding photography.  In fact, I remember walking up to their house that night and excitedly pointing out the bike trailer to Brian!  As you know, we love working out of the box, and these guys are a perfect fit. {Rebecca and James} Heartfelt Sunset Engagement Session in Almonte
